Year 4 have enjoyed reading the book ‘The Firework-maker’s Daughter’ by Philip Pullman. They made predictions about what might happen in the book based upon the front cover and blurb. The children learnt new vocabulary and answered retrieval and inference questions on chapter 1. In addition, they studied the main character (Lila) and discussed adjectives to describe what she was like.
